On my first trip to Africa, I learned a valuable lesson from the old adage "Give the man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Being typical Americans we arrived to Africa laden with clothing, Bibles, and school supplies. They were well received, but when we left I had no peace. Later God spoke, “you’re going to change the economy of Kenya.” I asked how, and He pressed on my heart through education. Now that’s how to teach a man to feed himself for a lifetime!
