In 2015 I embarked on raw food journey. Going into that year I was burdened by severe joint pain, especially in my knees. At times it would be so bad, my son would have to help me get my legs unto the bed.

To my surprise, within 3 months of starting my raw food diet, I ran a half marathon race. I continued to run that entire year. My joint pain was nonexistent.

Foods to eat


Raw fruit, raw vegetables, raw nuts and seeds, sprouts, smoothies, fresh juice, and plenty of water.

What Not to Eat


No meat, dairy, wheat, eggs, processed sugar or alcohol.

Tips for Success


Pray for strength, make sure to eat enough, educate yourself, plan what you are going to eat for the whole day, keep it simple, get plenty of rest.

Daily Routine


Spirit/Mind: Prayer/meditation (I listen to Dappy Keys on YouTube while I meditate for 7 minutes)

Body (flush): 12-16 oz of water with 1/2 lemon, 1 Tbs of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 tsp of raw honey (optional)

Body (nourishment): Smoothie or Juice (recipes below)


Spirit: meditate on a favorite scripture

Mind: Take 5 good deep breaths 

Body: Have a salad or another smoothie/juice (recipes below)


Spirit: Express to God 1 or 2 things you are grateful for that day.

Mind: Sit quietly for 5 minutes inhaling the amazing scents of essential oils from a diffuser.

Raw fruit contains a wealth of vitamins that protect the body from harmful free radicals. These free radicals contribute to chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease.
